Alcock Disappoints Ladies

On 3 February 1948, a letter was read to the Gloucester Club Committee from Miss V. Pegler asking if the Committee would be willing to assist in the formation and training of a local Ladies Rugby Football Club. On the proposition of Dr Alcock, the President, who considered it inadvisable from all points of view, it was decided to reply in the negative.
