Time for a Change

Mr O. L. Brunsdon had the job of winding the clock at the Kingsholm ground, for which he was paid a salary of two guineas a year. In 1946, he wrote a letter to the Gloucester Club stating that he would require an increase of his charge to five pounds a year. The Club Committee considered the matter, and decided that from now on this job would be added to the tasks undertaken by the groundsman.
