Day 28 - Monday 4 June - More sand is applied

Don't get too excited! It's still only plastic. Grass comes later.
The pile of sand is reducing but it will take several more days to get it all onto the new pitch.
The mat has now been laid across the whole pitch and a first layer of sand applied. Overall several hundred tons of sand will be applied and bedded into the mat to form a good layer for grass roots growth.
