Day 60 - Friday 6 July - Preparing the walkways

The very hot and sunny conditions continue.  Despite this mowing and watering continue at regular intervals and as a result the pitch now really begins to show that striped look.     The first sight of the pitch that will be seen by supporters entering the Shed, although partly obscured here by one of the construction vehicles, should be impressive.

A couple of pictures here show the 3 team members who are doing the mowing and the rotary pedestrian mowers that are currently being used.

Work is beginning to resurface the walkway in front of the East Stand to provide a much smoother and safer tarmac surface.   Similar work is beginning to tarmac the immediate pitch-side area in front of the Shed.   Each area will have a drain, constructed on a gravel base, to remove the surface water.
