Day 25 - Friday 1 June - Extending the mat across the pitch.

Work continues to sew each new layer of mat to the length previously laid.

This picture is deceptive. Although the mat appears to be almost complete other pictures show that there is still a significant area to be covered.

Meanwhile the goal posts have been disassembled and stored in the Shed.

Although it appears there is still a massive area still to be covered in fact the sandy area shown here is only about a third of the pitch area. Who says a camera never lies?

It’s Friday and work continues to lay the mat across the pitch.      Images can be deceptive.    Some appear to show almost the whole of the pitch area covered with mat whereas the final picture appears to show a massive area still to be covered.   The reality is that all the pictures in the section were taken within 25 minutes of each other on Friday afternoon when the mat covered about three quarters of the total area of the pitch.
