This project is a partnership between the following organisations:

National Heritage Lottery Fund is the UK’s leading advocate for the value of heritage to modern life. It sustains and transforms our heritage through innovative investment in projects with a lasting impact on people and places, and provided the majority of the early funding for our project through a grant of £49,900.

Gloucester Rugby, the history of which is of course the reason for the project. The Club is providing at its Kingsholm stadium a venue for project displays, exhibits, meetings, interviews and activities, and actively supports the project with advice and facilitation.

Gloucestershire Archives preserves and offers access to the cultural and corporate memory of Gloucestershire. It provides environmentally controlled storage of documents, photographs and audio-visual recordings, and supports communities in keeping Gloucestershire’s heritage alive. It is actively supporting the project with professional assistance and storage for the project archive (documents and photographs).

Friends of Gloucestershire Archives educates and raises public awareness of the role of Gloucestershire Archives and raises funds for Archives projects. It is responsible for monitoring the administration of the project.

Ecclesiastical Insurance, a company which has been based in Gloucester almost as long as Gloucester Rugby, provided valuable funding of the project for three years

We are grateful to all of our partners, without each of whom this project could not have happened, and we thank them for their enthusiastic support.
