A lengthy and detailed report of the toasts and speeches made at a dinner hosted by the Directors of the Gloucester Athletic Ground Ltd at the Spread Eagle Hotel, attended by members of the Gloucester Football Club Committee, along with the Gloucester and Burton teams who had played the inaugural match at Kingsholm that day. There follows a section devoted to the match and the ground, and the article ends with a mention of a "regrettable incident".
