A favourite of the Gloucester faithful and one of the most consistent players to play for the Club. An outstanding back row forward who led Gloucester to Powergen Cup final success against Northampton in 2003 at Twickenham.

Jake was the club's joint leading try scorer, with nine tries in 2003, a year that the club also topped the Premiership table by the end of the season, only to be denied full championship honours due to the introduction of the play-off finals.

South African, Jake played for a brief period at Leicester and London Irish before settling at Kingsholm, making a total of 174 appearances and scoring 30 tries for Gloucester.
