Day 7 - Monday 14 May - Work starts on the new drainage system
More gravel has arrived. 7 Loads so far.
Another load of sand has arrived.
Nearly 60 tons of sand.
New drainage pipes, 150mm diameter whereas the old ones were 100mm, entering the chamber..
Filling in the area surrounding the drainage chamber.

Smoothing the surface by hand immediately around the goal post positions.

After a prolonged spell of mainly dry, sunny weather the soil is very dry. Whilst the new drainage chamber, at the south west corner of the pitch, is constructed the levelling and smoothing of the surface continues amidst clouds of dust.
