Kingsholm catering in 1900

On 16th June 1900, Maurice Volney of the Albert Hall, Gloucester, signed an agreement to “rent, at a cost of £60, that part known as the “Vinegar Works Corner” and Ditch side of the Kingsholm Football Ground to be used for a Café Chantant… the remaining part of the field… let for Sheep Grazing, Tennis, Flower Shows, Rifles [sic], Engineers, and Artillery Drilling”.
