Day 15 - Tuesday 22 May - Spreading first layer of sand
The pile of sand in the western car park starts to grow - AGAIN.
The main 150mm drain along the southern edge of the pitch area has now been covered with sand to roughly the same level as the top of the soil.

With the bulldozer temporarily out of action the plough on the excavator is brought into use to shift the sand.
There is still a lot to be done to achieve a consistent level of sand across the whole of the pitch area.

It's beginning to take shape but there's still an awful lot more sand to be spread.
Yet more sand has arrived once again filling up the western car park. The main drainage pipe has been covered with sand to make its surface roughly level with the rest of the pitch area.
Once again a laser controlled levelling device is used to get the pitch profile right.
